I think that we must have gypsy blood in our veins because Baseline is off to pastures new… again. We have been very happy at Friar Gate Studios, it has been an excellent spring board for Baseline. But now is the time to make our next move.
We have secured a new studio in the fantastic William's Yard in Melbourne.
The main reason for this move is quality of life, I live in Melbourne and it will mean I can walk to work, but also, it halves the journey time to work for other staff. The new lease begins officially in October, but Richard Blunt, the developer, has allowed us to move in early, so our first working day will be 2nd September.
We are in the process of moving some of our office furniture and equipment into the new studio, so that we don't have one big upheaval.
This new space is fantastic and will give us lots more scope for expansion, we are really looking forward to the next chapter for Baseline. We are looking forward to a studio warming party once we have settled in.
Farewell to all at Friar Gate Studios, you will be missed, but we will be back regularly, as FGS is a fantastic base for any meetings we need to have in the city centre.
